A driver with the Sanitation Service Authority (SSA) was robbed at gunpoint this morning (June 6) in Chapel, St. Philip. According to SSA Public Relations Officer Carl “Alff” Padmore, the assailant took the driver’s jewellery, but the driver was unharmed and is cooperating with police. Padmore expressed concern for the driver’s wellbeing and noted this is not the first such incident involving SSA staff. He called for an end to the rising violence in the country.
