According to an article on the Starcom Network News website, the Barbados Police Service destroyed just over 150 illegal firearms today (the second time they have done so for the year I believe). The image above was included in the article.
Not being a gun expert, I uploaded that article to ChatGPT and asked it to count and identify the type of firearms in the image. Here’s what it came back with:
🔫 Estimated Firearm Count and Types
Handguns (Pistols and Revolvers)
- Semi-automatic pistols: ~15 (various makes and calibers, mostly black polymer or metal frames)
- Revolvers: 2 (visible silver-colored revolvers near the front left).
Rifles and Carbines
- AK-type rifle: 1 (visible wooden furniture, curved magazine)
- AR-15 type rifle or carbine: 1 (with a modern rail system)
- Bolt-action or semi-auto hunting rifles: 2 (long-barrel wooden stocks)
- Drum magazine-equipped firearm: 1 (likely a submachine gun or modified rifle)
Shotguns
- Pump-action shotguns: 2 (one with a wood fore-end and another at far end)
Submachine guns / Misc.
- Possible submachine gun / tactical firearm: 1 (far right, may be belt-fed or modified light machine gun)
Total Estimated Firearms: 24 to 26 (some are stacked or obscured, so there may be slight variation).
Again, not being a gun expert, I’m not seeing two silver revolvers, I see one (lower front left of the image). I also see an Uzi or Uzi-like gun on the bench, next to what looks like some sort of sniper-style rifle.
