Police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred on the morning of August 2 as 26-year-old Jaire Tyrek Quintyne, of Passage Road, St. Michael. The incident took place around 7:15 a.m. at Country Park Towers, Country Road, St. Michael.
According to police reports, two men were walking between two apartment blocks when several gunshots were fired, injuring both. Quintyne was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by private vehicle, where he later died from his injuries.
The police are asking anyone with information or who witnessed the shooting to contact them via the Crime Stoppers hotline, Police Emergency, or the District “A” Police Station.
