
What was initially reported as a suspected hit and run has now been reclassified as a homicide. Laqwain Morris, 35, of Silver Hill, Christ Church, was found dead on Lodge Road around 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday (June 24th). While early reports suggested he was struck by a vehicle, an autopsy revealed he had been shot. Police have since launched a murder investigation, confirming Morris as the 27th homicide of 2025. June has now recorded the highest number of killings this year, with nine homicides so far.
