A middle-aged man is in police custody after attempting to rob a vendor on Fairchild Street June 5 around 8 a.m. The suspect, armed with a knife, tried to steal cash from a breakfast vendor’s van. A struggle broke out, and bystanders intervened, detaining the man until police arrived and arrested him.
