The Barbados Police Service is investigating the fatal shooting of 30-year-old Vere Ricardo Hoyte of Isolation Road, Belleplaine, St. Andrew. The incident occurred on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Checker Hall Cross Road, St. Lucy.
According to reports, Hoyte was liming in the area when a vehicle pulled up and opened fire. He was found lying on the ground and was later pronounced dead at the scene by a medical doctor. Police are urging anyone with information to contact the District ‘E’ Police Station, emergency services, or Crime Stoppers.
